Renee Royal-Spencer: The next fruit, patience or long suffering in some versions, Google says patience ⁓ the ability to endure affliction ⁓ and discomfort ⁓ and situations. we know that Jesus ⁓ definitely bore So, always to pull some scripture, okay? So, what I believe were the scriptures for this episode, the anchor scripture for this episode, ⁓ is come from Mark 12, verse 30, ⁓ and reads, and you shall love the Lord your God with all of your heart, with all of your soul, with all of your mind, and with ⁓ all of strength. This is the first commandment. this fruit. We know that this was the fruit of Jesus. Again, think about the cross, Think the beating before the cross. Think about how they spit on Him, how they pushed a crown of thorns His skull. Okay? ⁓ Jesus did that for Now, ⁓ I also thought about Looking at Jesus' life, clear, it's factual, ⁓ it's the truth. He bore many many, many ⁓ and... ⁓ None of them were children. None of them. He was never married. this is critical because ⁓ portion of scripture and Jesus' time with the disciples. The disciples were really great. They remind me of the, the Israelites back in ⁓ Exodus. anyway. Jesus endured with them. Jesus had patience with them, What's up, warriors? I hope you're well and I want to thank you so much for joining me back here for another one. I'm so grateful to be able to pour out what I believe is intended to help somebody as it has helped me. OK, now by now, you all should know if you're watching this right, this podcast, this podcast is a ministry and it is specific. It is intended for a specific group of We have to have a proper perspective and resolve about who and what our source of life is and where our source of life comes from. When we read about Jesus in the New Testament, ⁓ we know that Jesus loved the Father. Jesus loved the Father. The Father was His The Father was His heart. The Father was His soul. The Father was His mind. The Father was His strength. And He is a model. ⁓ life is our model for how we do life, right? ⁓ We've heard that, or we should have heard that. people. Okay. And I believe that it's intended to help that specific group of people. Okay. But though it's intended for that specific group, if we listening we all can get something. Okay. All right. The title of this episode, ⁓ I would call it Jesus did not do that. Okay. He didn't do that. Why, why we think we got to do that? was very patient with the disciples, right? The disciples did a bunch of foolishness, right? I mean, first of all, They saw Him do thousands of things and time at the time they still had the issue of doubt coming up, right? But He endured with them. and He loved them. many times to have a great life if He didn't do that. Huh? Does that make any kind of sense? It does not. But that's the way society, that's the way history has ⁓ written it in our heads and how most of us identify ourselves, right? We feel like if we don't do these things, then we're not worthy, we're not fruitful, and we have no value. What am I talking about? You take a guess. I want you to guess. and He was patient with them and He was kind with them and He was gentle, gentle with them, you know? And then the next fruit, think He was faithful with them because when they were doing all of their foolishness, right? He didn't say, I'm done with you. I'm going to get some disciples who gonna believe in me, who not gonna waver, who gonna trust no matter what, who gonna believe. Jesus is our model and I want to just go into and then tell me what you think I'm talking about. Okay. In my conversations with people over time, young and old, right, mature and immature, in the things that I've watched and all these things, a commonality, right? And that commonality is the belief ⁓ that ⁓ His life a little right yeah so let's look into Jesus's life and let's let's let's just see the fruit that He bore ⁓ another key verse or scripture for this episode it will have to be it well two two more two more all right so john 15 verses one through two and that reads i am the vine and my father is the gardener He cuts up every branch no matter what, who gonna be with me, no matter who not gonna doubt me. Jesus did not say that to them, Jesus ⁓ stuck out with these 12 people that He chose to walk beside Him, to minister, to disciple, right? He stuck it out with them. you are not married and you do not have children, you have not maximized your life, that your life is dull, that your life is not fruitful, that you are not bearing anything because you're not even in the position to bear anything, ⁓ And ⁓ especially number one thing that in me that bears fruit. This is Jesus talking to the disciples now. ⁓ then it goes on while every branch that does not bear fruit, He prunes so that it will be even more fruitful. ⁓ And then we go to ⁓ ⁓ Galatians five. That is an example of faithfulness. then, of course, I'm going back to the cross. Jesus walked that thing out right now, though I believe His greatest pain of dying on that cross was the separation from the Father. I'm pretty sure He didn't want to be spit on and unrecognizably and in we think that we're supposed to be bearing or the only thing that ⁓ has been manipulated from scripture to versus 2322 to 2323. But the fruit of the spirit is the love, joy, peace, long suffering, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control against such things. There is no law. All right. So of course we have we're going to look at the fruit of the spirit when we're talking about fruit, because these are also things that should. I'm pretty sure He didn't want to experience the trauma that He had to experience that He endured. He knew what that was going to be, but He was faithful anyway. He stuck it out for us. of the greatest fruits ⁓ that get from Jesus's life is of the gospel, of course the church, of course it's right? And be evidence of fruit, are in ⁓ the year or it really just came into my spirit, okay? ⁓ I am being healed for real. Now it taking time, all right? It's taking time. It's taken we should be bearing and that should be multiplying in our lives. ⁓ Love should be ⁓ coming up out of us, Joy, peace, patience, kindness, gentleness, goodness, that should be coming up out of us. we should be giving it so well that... we get these things, ⁓ these good things from Jesus and His life. And again, any one of them ⁓ were ⁓ intentionality taken just right? Just care and it's TLC. It's taking some TLC, ⁓ but really being healed. ⁓ And I was in the of the dark of my journey, I just did not see my as ⁓ being fruitful at all. I saw Fruit comes from that fruit, right? All right. It was all barren. was all desolate. There wasn't anything happening. There wasn't anything green. And ⁓ this is off track. But I love to see green and blue outside. That just makes my day. Anyway. ⁓ And so When you think you're not fruitful, then not let's Jesus our focus and our example. And it's going to be so hard to break ⁓ off what has been, rooted because of history, familiar relationships and society and all these things. It's going to be really hard for us, but you know what? With God, all things are possible. So when I learned the truth, and that is my life is supposed to be fruitful. It can be fruitful without children. ⁓ then you're not, ⁓ you have nothing to offer. You have nothing to give. You have nothing to add. You have nothing to ⁓ exalt or exemplify because you don't think you have anything to give if your mind is in a barren place. And so that's where I was, right? And then in the last year, I got to a place or I heard something. I don't know if I read it somewhere or heard it on some YouTube something I was watching in. With God all things are possible. We can do it. Setting our sights on Him being anchored in Him That Required me to look at Jesus's life, right? So when I heard that statement That if marriage and children were the pinnacle of human life, then Jesus would have done it. I thought I Wish I thought I need to look at Jesus's life, right? I need to see how Jesus moved and the best way is the Bible, right? So go in the New Testament look at Jesus's life ⁓ It was a statement and I believe the person who said it is Yana Connor. ⁓ But she said something like, if marriage and children were actually the pinnacle of human experience, then Jesus would have done that. But Jesus did not do that. Okay. He did not do that. And for one, two, three, four. And I believe that. There's no other option for kind of life, to fruit ⁓ and. and what He did and what He gave and ⁓ going through Galatians, right? The fruit from Galatians, we know that Jesus loved, Jesus was loved, Jesus is loved, Jesus embodied and bore many, many fruit, right? So ⁓ know that Jesus loved ⁓ because He gave His life for us. Now I don't know about you. the millions that are on the journey to parenthood and that journey looking crazy, that journey just looking like, what is this? That journey looking dark, looking desolate, looking barren. Okay. This is good for our souls because it helps us to understand that if we wanted a full life, there is no need to wait for children to have that full life. It may not look like how we want it to look like. And I want to take a moment to make sure that I clarify that I am not sitting here trying to tell you that you should give up wanting to be a mom. You should give up wanting to be a dad. OK, no, that is not what I'm saying. You don't give up your desires. OK, what I'm saying is shift your perspective and know that you don't need But I may need to think two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine, 10 times before I think, I going to hell? on behalf of somebody ⁓ I don't think I'm doing it. But that's why was not chosen for that one. And for those who are not married and maybe you want to be married, maybe that's your desire. Maybe you know that maybe the Lord has told you that He's going to do that for you. You got to get to a place where you know that your life is fruitful. Even though that marriage has not happened yet, even though it may not look like the circumstances don't even look like the marriage is going to happen. OK, we got to get just. children to be fruitful. You don't need children to be worthy. You don't need children to be valuable. What you need is your Father, Your Heavenly Father. and I'm talking you out of the promises of God, God told you, right, He was gonna do it. Of course, I'm not making light of what Jesus did. Do not take my humor for ⁓ as an offense now, but Jesus us much He did that for us. ⁓ And what have come to learn about that experience, I used to think that Jesus, ⁓ there's a when ⁓ However He told you or showed you, however it was communicated that He, and He told you that He was gonna do that for you, I'm not talking you out of that, honey. I'm not talking anybody out of desires and I'm not talking anybody out of promises. What I am talking to people out of is ⁓ incorrect thought processes and perspectives, okay? That is intent of this. So. We got to get it deep down in our souls and we cannot move from it. All right. So in this episode, we're going to be looking at a little bit of Jesus's life. All right. Please go read the New Testament. I can't sit here and go through all of that, go read the New Testament. We're going to look at Jesus's life. We're going to go into some of the fruit that that He when He was here. Right. Some of the fruit we're still eating off some of those fruits that There's a part when He's in the garden of Gethsemane and then He's praying so hard that He starts sweating blood. Blood is coming out of His pores. And I used to think that that was His response because He was about to go through, He was about to die a brutal death, right? They beat Him. Another person that I thought about in my research who they bore, they bore so much fruit. Okay. and ⁓ yet and still they never married ⁓ and they never had children. Okay. gave to the earth, right? And then we're gonna look at ⁓ someone else that I found in my research that fits right into the discussion that. ⁓ unrecognizably. I listened to some documentary and I learned that the scars, the wounds that could be ⁓ closed by stitches would have required over 2000 of them, you know? And I used to think that that is where that pain came from. But I now have a deeper understanding and I know that Jesus had that response because Jesus was going to be separated Marriage and children not the only thing equals fruit. ⁓ And certainly when you're in a marriage, children not the only fruit that your marriage ⁓ should be bearing. Okay. All right. from the father. Jesus did not want to be separated from the father. and hell ⁓ going to separate Him temporarily. Jesus depended on father and He did not want to be separated from the So let's get it. I'm ⁓ about other than Mother Teresa of Calcutta. ⁓ Yes. Mother Teresa. ⁓ We have look at her life. ⁓ And what my mind is we call her mother and she ain't never had no kids. Isn't that something? Can we say that about ourselves? ⁓ I'm working to be able to say that about myself, that I just don't wanna do nothing. don't wanna be nothing if not with the Father, okay? Period. ⁓ So we know that Jesus, ⁓ we that Jesus bore the fruit of love because He died for us. And then it brings me to joy. ⁓ That's how we refer to her. So Mother Teresa, Looking at Jesus's life, scripture tells us that Jesus didn't get joy out of anything really except for obedience to the Father. Pleasing the Father is what brought Jesus joy. OK, so I'm thinking back again to our anchor scripture, and you shall love the Lord with all of your heart, with all of your soul, with all of your mind, with all of your strength. Jesus did that right. ⁓ So it was in nothing, Jesus's joy was not outside of God, okay? Fruit, that's how He was able to bear that fruit. ⁓ Peace, we have so many examples. My favorite one is when they were in the boat, Jesus and the disciples. I think that's in Mark. she was here a little bit more recent than Jesus was. so ⁓ we have to look at her life, when I dug into life, the scripture, the Lord all of your heart, with all of your soul, with all of your mind, with all of your strength. Mother Teresa did that too. She did. From a very young age, she knew that she was called to serve ⁓ and chapter four, verse 39, where there was a storm coming and one of them said, teacher, do you not care that we are perishing? I mean, they were so dramatic. They being so dramatic. The storm was raging. The boat was sinking, They thought they were going to drown. They thought they were going to die. That's what she did. She served. She served in so many ways. She gave in so many ways. She was fruitful in so many ways. ⁓ A lot of us know her from how she poured out kindness and how she was faithful and patient and loyal and met the needs of the poor, right? And then how she sat and cared with the sick. Right? And what is Jesus doing over there? Jesus is sleeping. Real life sleeping. Now. Recently, I have learned that. And even those who were sick with deadly diseases, believe, including leprosy, just like Jesus now. And she did these things well. OK, in order for us to peace. ⁓ We have to trust the Lord. So we know, that was in total dependence on the Lord, meaning He trusted God with that. We trusted the father with everything. He had no doubt in the father. So He was able to go over there and sleep. Her fruit, greatest fruit is Missionaries of Charity, which operates in over 130 countries right now. And that is amazing, right? And again, She bore fruit, but those fruit were not children. And... Though I didn't get into the nitty-gritty of her life. We call her mother and she was not a mom. We got to know that our lives can be full, ⁓ our lives can be ⁓ our lives can be without babies right now, okay? Now, it takes us some time to get there, but we gonna walk it out together and we can do it. Some of the ⁓ things that I would encourage and challenge us to think about on this topic, that... Marriage and children are not the pinnacle of human life and and and if that was so then Jesus would have done it right and God is intentional right God knows knows our before our beginning God knows if we're gonna marry God knows if we're gonna have children and if He knows these things But God sends us here anyway. You know what I'm saying? He sends us here anyway, okay? And what does this mean? This means that There's so much more fruit that God expects for us ⁓ to be multiplied from and by us through us that are not little humans, okay? ⁓ And we have to anchored and rooted in the truth our identity comes from God and alone. Our worth comes from God and God alone. Our value comes from God and God alone, not anything that we can do, have, birth, ⁓ give, ⁓ whatever. Got increases. when we love Him and pursue Him give Him everything that we got. Okay. I to you with some things to think about and I would love for you to comment your thoughts or email us your My first question that I want you to ponder and consider is, do you even believe that your life and your marriage can be fruitful without children? Do you struggle with that belief? If so, why? Where'd that struggle come from? What communicated to you that your life wasn't fruitful without these things? That that's the only way that you're being fruitful. That's the only way that you're multiplying. But ⁓ I think back to ⁓ Elizabeth ⁓ Zachariah, John the Baptist's parents, ⁓ they served well, were they were righteous in the sight of God but they were not parents in their youth okay but they served well they bore a lot of fruit before they bore their baby okay We can too. We have to too. We can't thrive if we don't. And I don't know about you, but I want to get everything. I want to do everything that the Lord has sent me to do. Everything. I want it all. I want it all. I want to bring it. I want it to be overflowing when I'm before the Lord. ⁓ And then another question that is helpful for... us to consider here as we think about ⁓ and ponder what's been given in this episode is, am I prioritizing the will of God over everything and anything and all things? Or am I prioritizing how I feel? I hope that this truth blesses you in some way, okay? and pray that you are continuing to take the weight off, to take the pressure off, to let that beautiful butterfly come on out. We need to see that butterfly. Thank you all so much and until next time, be well.
